It's a new unwritten rule that birthday party invitations should be given to all the kids from school or daycare to avoid any kids being left out. However, not all families have enough space to host the whole class (and their parents) at home, and that's where outsourcing comes in!
These Central Coast venues are perfect for hosting birthday parties. The kids are entertained, catering is taken care of, and best of all, there's no cleaning up to worry about.
INDOOR VENUES
Super energetic kids can burn energy while celebrating a birthday party at Awezone. It has an open-air trampoline, a huge dodgeball arena, a dunking trampoline, foam pit trampoline and they even have a specially-made foam pit trampoline for toddlers. An Awezone party costs $25 per person and this includes an hour on the trampolines, half an hour in a function room to eat and cut the cake (an ice cream cake is provided as part of the package) and a pair of Awezone socks to wear while jumping.
There are several food and drink options to choose from for this price. This venue doesn't allow you to bring food from home but you can bring your own cake
This is one of the biggest indoor play centres on the Coast and it caters for children of all ages. There are several party packages that range in price from $14.50 per child for a BYO party package, $17.50 per child for a basic party package, and $22 per child for a Supa Party package.
Each package has various inclusions of food, and they offer extras such as the birthday cake, lolly bags, candles, a host and cordial jugs. Large platters of food can also be ordered. To help keep costs down for parents you are able to bring all of your own food and drinks in the BYO party package. All party packages include invitations, entry fee, unlimited play and time in a themed party room. There are four themed party rooms to choose from including the HQ Grand Party Room, the Jungle Room, the Undersea Room and the Space Room.
When booking a party here, the price per child includes bowling and shoe hire, food and drink from a variety of menu choices (including vegetarian) and all tables are supplied with fairy bread and two jugs of cordial, table settings with decorations, a used bowling pin and balloons for the birthday child which guests can sign, lightweight bowling balls, ramps and bumpers for kids under 13 years and free invitations. Prices start at $18 per child for one game and $22 per child for two games. Outside food is not allowed to be brought in except for birthday cakes.
Located inside Central Coast Leagues Club, this play centre has three levels and an array of equipment for the kids including jumping castle, gun/ cannon foam ball area, climbing structures, slides, a devoted toddler area and kids electric go-karts.
There are also lots of different themed rooms that your little one can choose from including a mermaid, and pirate room, superhero room, Candyland, a fairy, room, outer space room and a jungle. A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking, and payment is required on the day of the party, upon your arrival. There are three different packages to choose ranging from $199 up to $299 for a maximum of eight children with fairy bread and party snacks in all packages. Party room hire and a host for an hour, invitations, placemats, unlimited play in the centre, a balloon, free return entry for the birthday child, and a reserved table for 10 parents are included in all packages. You can bring your own cake, or arrange for an ice cream or a customised cake to be provided.
OUTDOOR VENUES
For $22 per child a party booked at Bensville Riding School includes a 30 minute children’s ride, helmets and a safe fenced arena to ride in. There must be a minimum of six children and there's no on-site catering so you'll need to bring her own food and cake. However, they have barbecue and food heating facilities, and a lovely undercover area with tables and chairs to sit on.
For parents concerned about safety, the school has lots of different horses for kids of all riding abilities. All riders need to wear helmets, long pants and closed toe shoes.
This is a great party venue for older kids with birthdays in the warmer months. The price is $17 per child aged nine years or older, for unlimited access to all pedal boats and kayaks for 1 ½ hours on Avoca Lake. If the kids want to do stand up paddle boarding as well it's an additional $4 per child (but this is for kids 12 years and above only). There is a minimum number of eight children required to attend.
Before children set out, a staff member will discuss safety measures, and all children under 12 are required to wear life jackets. No food is provided but there is plenty of outdoor space to have a picnic and there is a takeaway shop nearby.
This holiday park is usually only open to guests but you can rent out the Entertainment Barn next to the resort pool for birthday parties, and use all the facilities while you're there, including the pool and water play area, playground, jumping pillow, games room and tennis courts.
There are two party packages available - the DIY party and Kool Kids party. Both include two hours in the decorated barn and a special birthday ride in the club tractor, but the Kool Kids package includes a Kids Club staff member to organise party games. You need to bring your own food and cake but there is an on site cafe if you want to order food from there on the day. Prices start at $200 for four hours for up to 20 children for the DIY party package.
