The Art House has something quirky cooking with . This isn't just another version of a fairytale you've heard a million times; it's got an Australian Chamber Orchestra spin on Hans Christian Andersen's original tale. Ever found yourself pondering why the princess ended up in a storm? Well, scratch that itch because award-winning playwright Finegan Kruckemeyer is dishing out the inside scoop on that unexplored backstory, and to sweeten the deal, Bryony Marks is throwing in a charming original score.

Under the guidance of director Tim McGarry, this delightful show is a vibrant mix of live tunes from the ACO String Quartet, a dash of puppetry wizardry, and storytelling that will have you laughing and gasping simultaneously. It's a theatrical smorgasbord for folks of all ages, so rally up the family and swing by 19-21 Margaret Street in Wyong, NSW on May 6, 2025. Who knows, you might just walk away with a newfound appreciation for both princesses and peas, though let's hope they're served separately.
