Terrigal Rotary Park Playground Is Open!

Remember a few weeks ago Central Mums let you know of the upgrades happening to the playground at Rotary Park? Well, the whole playground has been completed and ready for kids to play and explore!

As well as the wonderful wooden pirate ship, you'll find some awesome new play equipment ready to enjoy. Older kids will love the flying fox and huge basket swing. There's also a large climbing structure with different climbing features and a big slide- just watch younger children as it is quite high.

Younger kids will be delighted with the smaller climbing structure and slide, as well as the fun in-ground roundabout. Also be sure to check out the parent and child swing, where you get to swing with your little one.

As well as all the new play equipment, there's several new picnic benches (with shades) and a BBQ, making it a great spot to meet friends or have a party. The only downsides to this cool new playground we can see is that, although it is fenced securely from the road, this fencing doesn't go all the way around the park and the fencing on the lagoon side is not completely secure from little wanderers. Also, the playground hasn't been built with any shade over it, so bear this in mind if you're visiting on a hot day!

All in all, its a great addition for Terrigal and for local and visiting kids. We highly recommend you head along and check it out!

To make a day of it, be sure to visit the wonderful Marine Discovery Centre right next door.

You'll find this playground located in Rotary Park, on Terrigal Drive.

What if your child was diagnosed with a vision problem? Myopia, sometimes known as short-sightedness or near-sightedness, is a common condition that causes blurred distance vision.
