Celebrate the luck of the Irish this year on the Coast!

St Patrick's Day is always a great excuse to get together with friends and family to celebrate with some Irish fun, with perhaps a pint of Guinness in hand.

This year, St Patrick's Day falls on Saturday 17th March, so we've found some great St Patrick's Day celebrations around the Coast, that are also family friendly.



1. St Patrick's Day Race Day

For a fun family day out and to enjoy celebrating this Irish holiday, head to the races held at The Entertainment Grounds in Gosford, to watch the Gosford Qualifier of the Polytrack Provincial Championships.

Not only will there be live races to watch and place bets on, there will also be an array of entertainment for the whole family, including a craft beer van, different street foods to eat, live Irish dancing performances and live music.

Kids will also be kept entertained with their own giant inflatable obstacle course and a fun kindifarm.

Gates open from 10am with the first race starting at 1.14pm. Adult entry is only $10 and kids under 17 years go free!

2. Central Coast Leagues Club St Patrick's Day

Come celebrate all things Irish at the Central Coast Leagues Club . Enjoy favourite Irish dishes and drinks being served in Archie's Brasserie (which also has a great kids menu), take part in special in-house promotions and enjoy the Irish music being played all day, including live music from 5pm.

3. St Patrick's Day at The Rusty Udder

For some great Irish fun and entertainment, check out the celebrations happening at The Rusty Udder Bar in Wyong. This child friendly event will feature live Irish music in the Beer Garden and a delicious Irish menu to feast upon, including Beef and Guinness Pie, Irish Stew and some tasty Irish drinks.

For the kids, they can indulge in some yummy green jelly and ice cream, whilst keeping an eye out for the real life Leprechaun, Patrick!

This event kicks off at 12.30pm and finishes at 10pm.

4. St Patrick's Day at Terrigal Hotel

Terrigal Hotel are bringing Ireland to Terrigal this year, to celebrate this St Patrick's Day. Starting from 10am, the day plans to be filled with lots of Irish entertainment, including live Irish music and a performance from The Sydney Academy of Irish Dance.

For a one off St Patrick's Day special, the Hotel will be serving an Irish pie and pint combo, which includes a Steak and Guinness pie and a pint of Guinness for only $28.

5. St Patrick's Day at Ettalong Bowling Club

Celebrate this St Patrick's Day at Ettalong Bowling Club . Enjoy live music from 1pm and indulge in some delicious Irish inspired meals served from the Alfresco Brasserie.
