There are plenty of places for families to eat out on the Central Coast where kids are welcome.
Here are our favourite 7 restaurants:
1) Everglades Country Club, Woy Woy
Fridays are family nights at the
Everglades when kids eat free and can enjoy free entertainment such as face painting, balloon shows and discos, with extra shows during the school holidays as well.
2) Mingara Recreation Club, Tumbi Umbi
It’s the amazing Playhouse, with a castle, slippery dip, ballpit, games and a separate area for babies to play, that makes
Mingara Recreation Club one of the most family friendly clubs on the entire coast. The play area is supervised by child minders which means parents don’t have to jump up and down to keep an eye on their kids while eating dinner. You can become a member or pay for a casual visit at the rate of $10 per child for up to 3 hours. There are also themed discos held every few weeks from 6-9pm.
3) Kincumber Hotel, Kincumber
Being able to sit outside to eat is the biggest appeal of the
Kincumber Hotel , which has an outdoor play area and sandpit for the kids that’s visible from the terrace. It’s a bistro menu and kids eat free on Wednesdays which is also the same night as the trivia competition. There’s an indoor play area for rainy days too.

4) Diggers, The Entrance
The indoor play centre at the
Diggers is attached to a cafe so parents can get their coffee fix while their kids play on the climbing equipment, flying fox and slides. Toddlers and babies have their own separate soft play area. There is a fee required for kids to enter but it’s discounted on weekdays, and there’s also a drop and dine option for kids aged 3 and up so adults can eat at one of the other restaurants in the club (but parents cannot leave the premises).
5) Davistown RSL, Davistown
With a large outdoor area that stretches around the building, the
Davistown RSL is perfect for lazy weekend lunches. Parents can watch their kids play in the playground or the grassy “backyard” area which is fully fenced, and designed to be a place where balls can be kicked and kids can run without disturbing anyone. An added bonus is that a jumping castle goes up every Saturday and Sunday (weather permitting).
6) The Doyalson-Wyee RSL, Doyalson
The kids treehouse jungle play area at the
Doylo is the most impressive play area by far, with lots of different features but it doesn’t have childminders so parents need to fully supervise their kids. Sunday is kids day with fun activities held every week with different themes such as pirates and fairies.
7) Hardys Bay Club, Hardys Bay
The huge outdoor space at
Hardys Bay Club is gorgeous, with a rustic cubby house for the kids to play in and wooden picnic-style tables to eat at. Kids dine free on Thursdays and lunchtimes on Saturdays, and they throw annual kids parties for Halloween and Christmas.
