Are you looking for a great, family friendly street to take your kids trick or treating this Halloween? Here's what we hear from our Central Mums group members and some local Halloween enthuiasts that are some great spots to check out:
Old Gosford Road, Wamberal
This street has somewhat of a Halloween tradition and is known on the coast for creating an awesome trick or treat experience! Plenty of the houses along the street join in on the fun by decorating their houses and are very welcoming to trick or treaters, especially families.
Point Clare Waters Estate, Point Clare
A popular and family friendly spot for trick or treaters, around near Coles in Point Clare. Last Halloween saw plenty of houses involved and lots of kids out having fun so check it out if you're nearby.
Castle Circuit, Umina Beach
Another street that likes to get involved at Halloween, in Umina Beach. Look for the decorated houses and go join in the fun!
The Round Drive, Avoca Beach
We've heard that last year there were plenty of families trick or treating along this street in Avoca Beach. If you're local, perhaps give it a try this Halloween.
Lakeside Parade, The Entrance
This has been a popular street in the past for lots of houses and families getting into the Halloween spirit, with plenty of trick or treaters having a great time.
Lakeshore Drive, North Avoca
Plenty of houses along this street get involved on Halloween for trick or treaters.
Springall Ave, Kanwal
Look out for the Harry Potter themed display at a house this year along this street in Kanwal. It sounds like a perfect trick or treating spot for younger families.
Shortland Avenue, Killarney Vale
Keep a look out for houses decorated with balloons on their letterboxes to show they're welcoming trick or treaters. Whilst you're there, head along to house number 28 where there's promises of an epic haunted house, with plenty of treats and spooky frights, plus a donation bucket for the Westpac Rescue Hellicopter Service.
Kallaroo Road, Bensville
According to local residents, lots of houses along this street get involved in Halloween so check it out for this years trick or treating.
Barkala Street, Lisarow
If you're planning on trick or treating in Lisarow, check out this street for some houses getting into the Halloween spirit.
Onley Drive, Blue Haven
If you're located on the far northern end of the Coast, we hear this street is keen to get involved in the Halloween spirit, with even one house creating a haunted house!
Remember, not everyone gets involved in this tradition, so when you are out trick or treating with your kids, keep a look out for houses with a balloon or some sort of decoration to show they are participating in Halloween.
If you want to find out more information on all things Halloween and the best spots to celebrate, check out the Facebook group
