Today marks the last day of the first school term and the school holidays are upon us. Exciting for our children, daunting for us mums! With the brutal weather the Central Coast has been copping lately, the idea of two long weeks with the kids at home might seem even more daunting.
However, Central Mums has compiled a range of different activities, suiting different budgets, age ranges and weather conditions, that will hopefully keep your family entertained and won't mean you hear the dreaded
"Mum, I'm bored" at any point!
1. School Holiday Mania, The Entrance Hotel
Head on down to The Entrance Hotel these school holidays for some school holiday fun! Activities kick off on
Wednesday 12th April for a family evening out to watch Finding Dory, starting at 6pm.
Entry is free, along with free popcorn and fairyfloss and kids meals are available for purchase too. A second movie night is also being held next
Wednesday 19th April for kids to come and watch The Jungle Book.
The Entrance Hotel are also holding a Kids Mini Chef Masterclass on
Tuesday 18th April from 3pm. Kids will be making their own pizzas and a drink of juice will be included. Spots are $15 per head and are limited so get booking quick!

2. Australian Reptile Park, open daily.
A great day out is always had when you make a trip to the reptile park. Open from 9am, get ready to explore a variety of wildlife, from creepy crawlies to dangerous reptiles to cuddly critters.
Visitors are able to experience a "hands on" approach with the roaming wallabies and emus in the picnic area, with food bags available to purchase should you wish to hand feed the animals. The enormous, recently remodeled playground is sure to entertain any child and there is a cafe selling a variety of food and beverages.
During the school holidays, the park will also be showcasing a "Deadly and Dangerous" series for thrill seekers! An absolutely recommended fun day out for the whole family!

3. Central Coast Library Activities
Be sure to visit your local library these school holidays as there are plenty of interesting and exciting events happening, aimed for a variety of ages. Activities such as Easter craft & story time, a visit from Bob Turner wildlife plus a lego club and a family movie night. 4. Erina Fair Roller Skating Rink
Tuesday 18th April - Saturday 22nd April 10am-4pm and
Sunday 23rd April 11am-4pm Centre Court.
Along with plenty of other fun activities planned for the school holidays, Erina Fair is turning the centre court into a roller skating rink! Skates are provided, (though make sure you bring your own socks) and sessions run 2 every hour (one on the hour, the second half past the hour.) Definitely an event not to be missed:

5. Holiday Music Classes, Erina Fair, 11th-19th April
Head along to the meeting rooms next to the library for some music classes. With classes aimed for preschoolers aged 1-4yrs and classes for school aged children from 5-7yrs, get ready for singing, rhymes, rhythm and movement. Classes are $5 per session per child. See website for more information:

6. Ettalong Diggers Holiday Entertainment
There's plenty for the kids to do at Ettalong Diggers these holidays. Get your dancing, singing and performing shoes on as activities range from Zumba for Kids, Trolls Musical Theatre classes and Diggers Got Talent, perfect for the budding young performers out there. There is also a "Something Wild" session, where children are introduced and can even interact with native Australian animals. Bookings are essential so please contact Ettalong Diggers.

7. Amazement Farm and Fun Park
During the school holidays, Amazement opens its doors everyday, with a special Easter bunny visit on the easter weekend. Have fun navigating your way around mazes, pay a visit to the cute farm animals, let the kids burn off some energy in the playground or challenge each other to a game on the giant board games.
